Earlier this year (March 02 2021) Microsoft announced Microsoft Mesh, which is a new platform built on Microsoft Azure, enabling developers to build immersive, multiuser, cross-platform mixed reality apps. Microsoft Mesh enables its users to connect with their presence, across space, and collaborate as if they were in person regardless of physical location. This can be integrated to enhance meetups, events and co-working side by side in VR.
Virtual reality is considered the fourth wave in computing followed by Mainframes, PCs, and Smartphones. Virtual reality or in this case mixed reality is picking up the pace to become mainstream across consumers and commercials which will only grow in the following years in demand, particularly because of Covid-19.
